Being hypothetical

In an *extremely* hypothetical situation, if you gave a homeless person a meal from McDonald's, would you say "sorry" if they told you that they would rather have had Burger King while they were eating the burger--  Or would you just get annoyed or mad?

~*~

On another note, it's like an Autumn wonderland near Olin Library on campus!  The ginko trees are quite lovely in this shade of yellow.  It's even more fantastic when you're there to see it in person.

Like silken snow!

The word "silken" reminds me of tofu..  anyone else? :P  Anyhow, there was a strange blip in the weather this week.  It's been pretty warm in the high 60F's in the afternoon for two days, and I can get around in just jeans and short-sleeve T-shirts.  :)  Perfect weather!

Students park their bags near trees and study beneath them.  Quite interesting, as there was not really any sun shine to be shaded from, but the scenery is a perfect reason :3

Fluffy leaves!

I know it's a picture of the same place, but why is everyone wearing red today? :P

After pulling out my camera and taking a few shots, I walked into the library for my sweet lunch!  Hurr hurr hurr...  (<-- Has anyone ever red the Redwall series?)  ^_^  I can't believe that WashU manages to churn out new creations every week.  I never noticed it when I didn't eat sweets!  It's amazing and totally awesome :)

First up, the Tiramisu Chocolate Chunk Muffin.  Sounds delicious, right?  And it was.  Ha!  But it didn't taste like tiramisu at all.  No coffee flavor, and of course, no alcohol flavor either~  But the muffin was very tender with moist crumbs, and the semi-sweet chocolate chips gave a lot of depth. :D  The muffin overall tasted like a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough muffin. Nom nom, delish!~

Tiramisu chocolate chunk muffin

I spied something called the Boston Brown Bread Muffin in the bakery display case.  Seeing "Boston," instantly reminded me of Elaine, so I decided to grab it to try.  It looked like it was baked in the same tin as the Zucchini Loaf I had a few weeks ago.  The texture was pretty similar too!  It tasted slightly sweet and hearty like a bran muffin, and the texture was that of cornbread.  There were also either super plump golden raisins or just grapes baked right in.  Yum!  Kind of an interesting bread :D

Boston brown bread muffin

Oh, I just looked up "Boston brown bread" on Wikipedia.  I love looking up foods that I've eaten ^^b  No signs of raisins or grapes in the article, but molasses and whole wheat sound about right.

On Tuesday, Elaine freaked out over the pumpkin bar, so I just had to get a piece. :P  It turned out to be very yummy :3  There was a cake-like crust and crumbles on top, and the filling tasted just like pumpkin pie.  Maybe I can try making my own version of this at home?~  It was so yummy that it might compare with the gooey butter cake.  ;)

I like how everyone I saw at the dessert section at Stanley's was a girl.  Do girls really like sweets more than guys?  Anyways, after Elaine and I got our sweets and while Josh was still in line for his sandwich, the fire alarm went off because the toaster machine burned something.  Everyone obediently packed up their lunches and bags and left the building, while Josh was left in line waiting for his sandwich, haha :)  But then the alarm stopped less than a minute afterwards, and we all settled down for lunch.

The next item on the list:  Gingerbread with Lemon Cream Cheese Icing!  More like... lemon cream cheese icing.  And then a serving of gingerbread muffin.  I didn't know muffins had frosting @_@  Well, actually it didn't specify whether it was a cupcake or muffin, but the texture was that of a muffin, so I'm calling it a muffin.  Did you know that one of my old swimming coaches called me "stud muffin?"

... Moving on~~  haha ^_^  The icing was piled high, and it was surprisingly very palatable.  I usually think frosting is a bit too much, but this was like eating a lemon cheesecake, nom nom!  The frosting was consumed first before the actual muffin was finished off.  When eaten together, I could mostly only taste the icing, because the gingerbread flavor wasn't extremely strong.  There's definitely a gingerbread flavor, but it's pretty light and most of the sweetness probably came from molasses.  The icing was so poofy that I felt like I ate 3 desserts today.  Mmmm.. Also ate a Milky Way candy bar before my Baroque art history test too.. >_>

A few days after I ate those sweets, I was on the phone with my mom, and she concluded our talk about school and life with, "And the most important thing of all, Wendy, is stop eating so much!"  ._.

I looked at the cell phone for a moment and asked, "The most important?"  She replied, "Yes, even more so than grades.  Your health is number one!"   "Really..."  "Er.. actually they are equally important."  Haha~  :P  My mom's so silly.  But yes.  She told me that it's especially important since I'm not married yet =_=''  Durr..

Since my mom says I got fatter, this mission will have to be put on pause / terminated.  Time to eat "regular" food for a bit and see if I can slim down before I got back home!

~*~

At lab, I saw my papers outside on the roof of some building outside my window.  At first my eyes went wide; I needed those papers for designing my primers!  I reached out to grab them, and my hand hit the hard glass of the window.  o_o  Ohh, the papers were actually just a reflection of the ones sitting on my lab bench. Durr.. =_=''  *gullible*

... but doesn't it look like they're outside?!

I love having a huge empty floor space!  And it's carpeted! <3  That means lots of falling asleep on the floor while attempting to study.  David and I went swimming for 30 minutes Monday (and died), and after I ate dinner and took a shower at home, I attempted to study but kept taking mini naps.

It's funny, because there are patches in the carpet that are super soft, so you'll find me squished in one corner of my room.  *rolls around floor*~

Pretty, right? :)

~*~

Nope, this is not a picture of me.  Unfortunately I am not as attractive as this hottie here.  Guess who?  One of my family members~  However, when Debra saw her picture, she told me she was amazed about how alike we look.  *so flattered*

Connie, my older sister!

Connie's probably one of the most popular people in Downtown Houston.  (Well, at least that's my opinion!)  But I can't say that I don't see why, right? ;)

I took a picture of myself somewhere at school (ha.. ha... >_>), attempting to look cool, but of course that never works!  ^_^''   And then someone walked in on me =_=  I noticed that we both still have abnormally large arms from swimming/water polo >_<''  Her left arm is pretty well hidden from the camera angle.  She still lifts weights, but I've tried staying away from those, so maybe she's even buffer??  Actually, I didn't do lion dance this year for that reason too (advice from my mom, ha!).  Since I don't wear makeup, I didn't have any on.  But what's silly is that I tilted my head the wrong way.  Nyuuu @_@  Also..  I got chubbier!!!  NYUUUUU T___T''  *will be eating healthy stuff now!*

So later at night, when I was at home, I attempted putting on makeup.  I don't see how she gets her eyes so dark, must put toooons of eye shadow (?) on!  I already looked like a raccoon / panda, but when I looked up towards the mirror, the eye shadow wasn't dark enough.  So I had to resort to looking at the camera display for it to show up~  Like my shirt?  ;)  And yes.   This is probably what I would have looked like had I went through a semi-goth skater phase.  So combining my two pictures, do you think I look like my sister?  :P  (I won't be hurt if you say "No," haha~ ^^)

Sweet memories, eats, and fun

At first glance, this place looks super futuristic, right?  Like... an area where your space craft's engines ignite and send you zooming off into the distance and out of doors that open for you at the last moment, allowing you to fly out of a hidden opening from under a waterfall and---  ...  Okay, okay, those aren't ideas for my future home >_>  buuuut, I can dream, right?  :P

It's actually a shot of the University City metro station.  It was manned by a single metro officer who checked my UPass and thanked me.  I replied, "Thank you."  But really, why did he thank me?  I should be the one thanking him!  Ahhhh!  But anyhow, I wonder if these officers get cold down here.  Lonely, maybe?  :/  Do you think they would think I was trying to poison them if I gave them cookies or something for Christmas?

~*~

Being the girl who randomly takes pictures of everything, I was on my way to school today and saw a two ladies taking a picture of a baby in a stroller in front of the WashU entrance.  Haha, I can just think that in maybe 16 years or so, maybe the baby will be grown up and entering the university as a college kid.  Time flies, right?  The one in yellow kept making baby noises and funny gestures.  :D

~*~

Here's a snap of our backyard on a rainy day.  So many trees to brighten up the atmosphere!  <3  When they all lose their leaves, this place will look like a city of the dead :(  Gahh, zombies!  *will never watch a scary movie / get tricked into watching seemingly-innocent videos introduced by Alex or Kevin again*

Since it's Autumn and all, why not have my food match the season??  :P  Haha, actually, that wasn't the plan at all, but one of my dinners ended up being quite Autumn-y-looking.  See that circle on the bottom left?  It's a microwaved egg that had a molten center!  Didn't know that was even possible~  o_0  And cauliflower is delicious!  Nom nom nom~

Oh my, I made macaroni and cheese this past weekend from "scratch" (aka not from a box!) for the first time, and it was delicious!  Durr, then again, I'm extremely easy to please, so let's say it was okay tasting, haha!  But yeah, I've always made mac 'n cheese from the Kraft blue box, and I always had to eat the whole pot / box to be full.  With 13.5 oz. of tube macaroni, I feel quite satisfied with eating a little less than 1/6th of the noodles.  Let's not mention the 18 ounces of full-fat cheese and the 2 cups of milk that went in there too >_> la la la~ ;)

Why no picture?  I bought whole wheat pasta, so the noodles are brown.  Looking at the pan reminds me of meal worms crawling around in some cheese.  Soooo yummy, right?!  .-.  Tee hee~  Next time I'll make it with normal pasta.  Shells?  Spiral?  Hmm, so many choices...

*big jump to next subject!*

“O lucky Paper, though without feeling, can you not feel, and though without eyes can you not see, and though without lips can you not kiss this beautiful bosom?  Cleander, fear not that your letter was lost…  Before she opened it, she kissed it, and sighed at every word as she read it.”  ~De hoofse Clitie

Isn't that sweet?  It's Korean drama in the old days... before text messages, email, Facebook stalking, and the such.  *sigh*  Ever have Kdrama moments or situations?  Definitely been through a few of those, and some were so romantic ^__^

~*~

Do you know what else is sweet?  The mission on WashU campus!  *laughs at own corniness* (Pastries... sweets... get it? :P)  On Monday, I think I was so concentrated on the pastry display at Whisper's.  Don't think I made eye contact with anyone-- just eyes on the sweets, laser eyes O_O  *bzzzt!*  We actually had a free write in Exposition, where we just write whatever is going on in the classroom, and I ended up writing about how my stomach was growling and what I was planning to eat for lunch.  =____=  good thing we don't have to turn these things in ^_^''

When I walked in, my eyes were scanning the case for new pastries and saw Cookies and Cream cake (omgahh *drool*) and some Goat Cheese and Green Onion Muffin (@_@!!).  But the idea of a salty muffin was a bit foreign today, so I ordered its sister muffin sitting next to it: the Chocolate Muffin.  I also asked for the Scone. It was just labelled as "scone," so I have no idea what type it was.  o_0

The chocolate muffin was delish!  Definitely not meant to be eaten in public though, haha.  Every time I bit into it, it would crumble, and crumbs would plummet down in every which way, but maybe it was because I was voraciously shoving my face into the poor muffin.  Hope no one was looking at me >_<''  But the taste was ultra rich of dark chocolate, and it was super satisfying *happy*.  The muffin is very moist, even the top, and the sprinkling of chocolate chips added a yummy, slight crunch!

Chocolate muffin

So the mystery scone was the opposite color of the muffin, and there was no wave of flavor that smashed into my taste buds.  Instead, a subtle sweetness, kind of like when you eat saltine crackers and it becomes sweet? Well, the scone became sweeter as I finished more of it, but it was definitely yummy nom nom nom~  If you like plainer / less sweet treats, this one is so very delicious ^^v  The top was encrusted with pretty big sugar crystals (not the finer granulated sugar crystals), maybe it was turbinado sugar?  It was brownish in color~  And I didn't realize until halfway that there were pieces of nuts inside.  I think they were walnuts, but they were super small, and I don't know my nuts apart, so...  yeah! :D

Scone.  (Durr, Sugared scone with walnuts?)

Lunch in Lopata with Josh and Elaine

Stanley's selection of baked goods usually changes around every week or so, and this week I spotted this beauty!

Cookies 'n cream cake

It's essentially chocolate cake with a mini Oreo on top.  haha!  But the topping was whipped cream, which was pretty good.  In effort to make it more like Cookies and Cream, the middle layer of whipped cream had mini chocolate chips in it.  :)  Yummmy.

Along with the cake, I gobbled down a cookie.  There were caramelized apple chunks here and there. Kind of a hearty, plainer taste.  I enjoy the JEM cookie much more, but everyone says that's sweetness overkill ^_^''

Walnut and apple blob cookie

The next day, I went to the library to grab lunch.  I saw the fruit tart and decided to try it.  When the lady was picking it out of the bakery case, she put it in the bag... not by placing it in the bag, but by dropping it from above!!  D:  All I could think in my head was "Nyuuuuuuu!!!!!" and stifle a small gasp.  Then she proceeded to plop a big muffin on it without mercy.  I paid, said "Thank you~," and then ran to the nearest table and picked out the fruit tart, trying to assemble it to look whole and good enough for a picture, haha :P

Fruit tart

A little messy, but hopefully still looks good :)  The tart crust was similar to the key lime tart:  a buttery taste ^^  But it wasn't as soft (or soggy?), and I wondered why.  Turns out that they first encase the bottom of the tart with white chocolate or white candy bark before adding the cream!  Ingenious.  The cream stuff was vanilla pudding, which I'm guessing they make from scratch and not a powder, because I saw a bit of egg white not fully incorporated into the pudding :)  The fruits were painted with a glossy sugar glaze after being placed on the tart, since only one side was shiny.  I like eating my foods separately, so I ate the fruit, then licked the pudding, and then nibbled on the crust.  Nom nom nom~

Next is the Goat cheese and scallion muffin!  When I saw this, my jaw dropped.  What in the world is this?  I think the word "scallion" might scare some people, but it's just another name for green onion!  So was this a... salty muffin?!  Yes, yes indeed @_@  It was savory, and it reminded me of eating some type of Asian bread...  Like. green onion pancake, but a bit salter and different texture?  The big white thing in the middle is a sphere of goat cheese!

Goat cheese and scallion muffin

Literally a sphere!  I actually don't like goat cheese (too strong!), so I picked out the ball and set it aside before enjoying the rest of my savory muffin <3

So much goat cheese!

On the last day of the week, I headed to Stanley's to check out the bakery case after class.  No new items (other than cupcake + cheesecake + pudding, but I'd rather try other things!).  So I walked to Holme's Lounge and found that they only had one scone and one croissant left!  Then a trip to the library~  It seemed like WashU was running out of food today, haha ;)  There were only a few trays of pastries left, leaving one entire case empty O_o''  But I saw a muffin I've never had before and then added in the gooey butter cake *weakness*.

I think bran muffins don't taste like... bran.  They taste like regular muffins but with delicious taste added in!  :D  Maybe it's molasses...  but there are quite a few plump raisins in here ^^  And I could see the fibers in the muffin.  Delish!

While I was at the art school, I walked past a staircase with some catering stuff near it.  And there were sweets lying in plain site!

I inched closer to take a look at what type of sweets they were, but I didn't want to look like I was trying to steal them, so I took out my camera to zoom in on them (haha, *dork*).  My Baroque art history professor walked down the stairs, spied them too, and said, "Well, that's tempting!"  :3  I laughed and told her that I was going to eat them with my eyes by taking a picture ^^

Looks delicious, no?

They were for a luncheon party hosted at the art museum on campus.  They seem to have a lot of lunches there... wonder what for?

~*~

Not sure if anyone noticed, but there's a little button on the navigation bar called "Contact Me."  Do you have a question you'd like answered?  Anything!  Like...  "Should I wear a blue or black dress for homecoming?"  Err, actually, that is a question you can ask, but I have horrible fashion sense ^_^''  But you can ask me silly or simple things, like what is my favorite tree, why do I eat so much, or something like that.  I'll answer them on my blog (if they're not too crazy :P) and keep you anonymous (ooooor, you can just put fake/random names or sign "anonymous").  ^_^  Sound like fun?  For me it is! :D  Ask, ask away!~~

Random picture of leaves.  You get a hug and a kiss** if you can guess where I took this! :D

** Disclaimer:  a Hershey's kiss.  Which I will go out to buy if you guess it right, since I don't have any at home, haha!  :D

November's sweet entrance

On my way to the math department, I passed by an extremely fat squirrel.  He was nibbling on something, and I asked him, "Mr. Squirrel, what are you eating?  You are so cute!"  Hopefully no one was beside me, or they'd think I was deranged . After stepping closer, I found out he was eating from one of those single-serving Philadelphia cream cheese packs -_-''  No wonder so fat.  Sorry, Mr. Squirrel, I apologize on behalf of our human race for giving you an early death from clogged arteries!

I didn't get to get a picture, but I snapped a picture of his also-fat competitor who attempted to fight him for his cream cheese packet. :)

Hard to spot, right? ^^

I've been getting leg and back pain recently, so I immediately suspected too many sweets.  But that couldn't be right, could it?  I used to eat only ice cream and candy when I was younger.  Maybe it was yet another sign of being old T-T  *sniffle*

Josh and I both ordered a Create-your-own wrap from Stanley's Cafe.  We got spinach tortilla wrapped around grilled chicken, shredded carrots, peppers, mushroom, spinach leaves, tomato chunks, and BBQ sauce.  Both of us ordered it warm, so it came out in a toasty tortilla shell.

Yum :)

I actually like my tortillas soft and pliable, so next time I'll try that instead.  The BBQ sauce was also kind of watery, so it was only super flavorful at the end!  Josh also got a hot dog in attempt to bulk up.  Good luck, hyung ^^b

Missing a single "1!"

Another lunch this week included new sweets! :D  I was *so* excited to see this little carrot on the carrot cake and the words "gooey butter cake" on the name of the chocolate cookie!

I started on the carrot cake first . It was actually the first "cake" I've eaten from the WashU bakery ever!  It consisted of two layers, each separated by a super sweet (but delicious) cream cheese frosting.  Nom nom nom~  @_@  There were individual shreds of carrots, and you could see the specks of nutmeg or cinnamon in the cake base.  ^^v

Carrot cake

The chocolate gooey butter cake cookie was next!  Expecting this to be like the gooey butter cake but chocolate and in cookie form, I was a bit disappointed (*hears Josh cheering somewhere*).  The crackly outside is slightly crispy, and the sweetness is not overdone.  The texture was like a brownie, and it was yummy in that regard, but I was looking for the gooeyness from the gooey butter cake.  But still, the cookie was a good basic brownie in disguise.  Very deceiving indeed!  :P

Chocolate gooey butter cake cookie

Today's lunch?  Key lime tart and a raspberry currant bar-- two items I've never before seen here at WashU or in my life :)  Experimentation, baby!~

Ahem.  So anyways, let's tell a story.  I've never had key lime pie before, but I *have* had the Yoplait key lime pie-flavored yogurt.  For Yoplait yogurt, I like the "Light" version, rather than the original, not because it has 30 less calories and it's sweetened with Splenda, but because the original flavor is creamy.  Thicker.  Custard-y.  When my parents used to feed me when I was a lot younger, they were confused about why I would choke on things that you probably shouldn't be choking on, like oatmeal and yogurt.  And when I was older (elementary, middle, and high school), I would still choke on these things.  Well, it's not like *choke choke* I'm dying!  But more of a:  *swallow*  *throat spasm, gag* type thing.  By now, I'm pretty experienced and won't have a coughing fit, but it's still kind of randomly annoying at times. :P

You were reading about WashU's pastries, and then I forced you to read about my story about regurgitating food.  Haha, sorry!  But I promise that this has at least some relevancy to the topic!

I took a bite out of the crust first.  It wasn't flaky, but instead sort of stuck together and less crumbly, which was super delightful for me!  It was hearty and sweet at the same time.  The key lime filling tasted *exactly* like Yoplait yogurt taste!!  @___@  Kind of alarming, unless that's the way it's supposed to taste!  But yeah, it was good :)  But the only thing that made me decide I'll never eat this tart again is that thick, overly creamy texture that made my throat want to do some random spasms.  Cheesecake creamy is okay, but this was even thicker!  :O  Maybe I should have eaten it more slowly?  Anyhow, if you're a key lime flavor fan, this is definitely for you ^^b

Key lime tart

I tried out the raspberry and currant bar next.  Elaine said this one was "okay," so I had a few doubts about it!  I've never had currants before, but these little berry thingies are pretty tasty!  Like a prune / raisin hybrid or something, haha~  :)

The bar has an extremely rich base (condensed milk) topped with a layer of raspberry jam or filling and a mixture of coconut, currants, and pecans.  Yumm!  I really like the sticky texture that the condensed milk had holding the ingredients together.  Quite delish ^^  The taste reminded me of a fruity granola bar, but richer!  Yay~~

Raspberry and currant bar

Hearing my body complaining about the sudden conversion to junk food for lunch, I ate a major whopping of protein for dinner the other day.  Night time pictures, sorry about the bad lighting >_<

Silken tofu with thousand year old egg (皮蛋豆腐)

What is this?  Playdough with rotten eggs?  Mmm, close, haha~  It's simply silken tofu with green onions, soy soy sauce, and century year old eggs.  The eggs are basically fermented (yum?  But no, seriously, yum!  ;P).  I blanched the tofu in boiling water to make sure the bacteria was killed off, but after I ate it, I realized I probably didn't put it in long enough, so only the bacteria chilling out on the surface got killed off.  I probably ingested a bunch of microbes that were hanging out in the inside of the tofu that didn't get warmed up enough. *sigh*  Oh well, maybe they're having a party in my tummy right now!

Haha, I actually forced myself to finish half of the tofu, which was surprising, because at home, I could eat almost the whole tofu block and still want more!  It's probably because before that, I ate a bowl of broccoli and carrots!  *must get nutrition, chomp chomp!*  Eating the silken tofu was like eating ice cream!!-- but a saltier version with the soy sauce, haha~  After I was done with half of the dish, I felt ready to puke.  Too much foooooood >___<  *curls up on the floor and lays there for half an hour*

Over-eating is always a problem for me.  Last week I made steamed spareribs, something my dad makes often for me when I'm at home <3  I didn't know how much soy sauce and what else I was supposed to add, so the chayote squash and Japanese yam weren't as flavorful >_<''  As a lazy bum, I thought eating meat off the bone was tedious (yeah, yeah, I'm gluttonous and lazy piggie :P), so next time I'll try meat chunks!

One day on the weekend, Elaine and I were talking and heard fluttering in the kitchen.  It turned out that a bird was flying around in the house!!  O_O  I've seen birdies wandering around in supermarkets, and it's like, "Oh, cool / cute / aww, it's lost."  But inside the house, where it's more likely that the bird will fly into you, it's more like, "AHH!! >___<  It's going to poop / bird flu !"  Or something or the other~  Elaine bravely opened one of the window screens (didn't know that was even possible), and the bird eventually flew out after banging its poor head against the glass a few times :(  But at least it's free!!  And it'll have adventure stories to tell its grandkids around the um.. nest-full of worms and stuff.  ;)

My hair's getting long!  But I don't know what to do with the bangs.  Without clips, I look like the girl from The Grudge.  =_=''  I want to keep / grow it long, but I don't know how to style it or make it not look like road kill when I wake up in the mornings :P  Suggestions?

Yesterday was cold and drizzly, but today St. Louis unveiled a happier day!  The ginko trees by the library are beautiful ^_^

End of October

My academic advisor and I had an appointment to discuss course registration for the spring semester.  After two minutes of taking a look at my schedule and giving his "O.K.," he asked me a few questions on my research.  Soon, we were talking about his favorite cereals (Raisin bran) and how much sugar it has.  I felt like an expert, citing "19 to 21g per serving" in my head, haha!  He also laughed at Taiwan's "Love Boat" camp, the sister camp of the month-long camp I went to in the summer of 2009.  The Acer and Asus companies also popped up.  Loved this conversation :)

During the weekend, there was no one in the apartment when I took a shower, so I started singing.  It was quite at first, but then I became more confident and ended up bawling pretty loudly.  When I finished and grabbed my towel, I hear rustling in the kitchen and immediately went quiet.  Oh shooooot!  Someone had come home and was nibbling something in the kitchen... and heard all the racket I was making >_<''  Ahhhhh!  Turned out that Elaine had come home and heard me singing.  How embarrassing!~  ^_^''

The grandma downstairs baked cookies for us and left it on the stairs on a plate for us.  :D  So nice!  I didn't get to try any, but they looked super cute.  They were the Pillsbury seasonal cookies and I'm guessing Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chunk cookies!

Speaking of cookies... that reminds me of.. my WashU eat-every-treat mission :P  Last week's contestants:
zucchini loaf and the low-fat cinnamon pecan muffin.

I actually saw someone eating a block of mystery food in Biochemistry lecture, and I was really curious about what it was.  (Probably paid more attention to him eating it than the lecture itself =_='')  When I walked into Whisper's Cafe for lunch, I saw the block, and it turned out to be zucchini loaf!  It instantly became my next victim.

Zucchini loaf

What did it taste like?  I was expecting something like banana bread, except zucchini, but the texture was just like cornbread!  And it tasted just like cornbread :)  Yummm!  It's not a super sweet treat, so if you like cornbread like Sean, definitely try this one!  You can see the shreds of zucchini inside ^_^

*nibble nibble* (actually more like *Chomp!*)

The next choice, "low-fat" cinnamon pecan muffin, was a split second choice.  We got out of Exposition early, so the line at Whisper's was really short.  So short that I didn't get enough time to take a look at all the treats! I just saw "cinnamon" on the title of this one, so I ordered it.  And it didn't disappoint!  :D

The pecans are only on the outside, and the rest is extremely moist and lightly sweet.  Super fluffy and hints of cinnamon <3  *happy sigh*

I must look like a weirdo taking these pictures..

After my last class, it was to the art school for some research on my paper.  I saw this leaf and was totally confused.  I didn't know these leaves turned to silver!!  It was so pretty!!

... but then I realized that it was spray paint.  Haha!  @__@

There was a book I needed on one of the shelves at the art library, but another girl was using a shelf beside it.  If anyone's been to the library, they'll know what I'm talking about.  They use the "space-saving" system, where the entire shelves slide back and forth, compacting together when no one needs them.  Unfortunately, I had to wait in the aisle for 40 minutes before the girl was done.  I actually asked her if I could grab a book really quickly, but she was like, "We can share, just press the button to move it a little bit.  That way we'll both have enough space to look around."  I thought that was really nice, and I tried pressing the button, and it didn't budge.  After asking the librarian, I found out that the person has to be entirely out of the shelving area for the machines to move.  I told the girl that, but she was uncooperative.  *pent up anger*

*and release!*  It was one of those moments when I wished I had the rubber guy's ability from Fantastic Four to grab a book from between the shelves.  Maybe I could squeeze through..

So close, yet so far!
